DiscipleshipEagle Heights Church encourages it members to be disciples for the Jesus. Studying God's word daily, examining your heart, praying, obeying and being ready to share the truth. The Bible outlines discipling as ~
- Putting Jesus first in all things (Mark 8:34-38). Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me." We must put aside our self-centeredness and make Christ the center of everything.
- Following Jesus' teachings (John 8:31-32). To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. 32Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” We must be obedient doers of God's Word.
- Sharing Jesus - (Matthew 28:18-20) Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” No matter where we are in our walk with Christ, a new believer or a mature one, we all have something to offer. We all have a story of faith.
